Wee Truck Visits Great 8

Today we were super lucky to have Linnea's grandparents bring along their vintage Chrysler truck to show us. It was manufactured in 1926 and we quickly worked out that it is therefore 89 years old! We were all given the opportunity to hop in and make the horn go, a-ooo-ger!!! It was fascinating to notice the wheels were wooden and that there were no windows in the doors. The top speed is about 70km/h which means when travelling they need to pull over to let others pass. We talked about how this is being a courteous driver. 'Wee Truck' and Linnea's grandparents are going to a rally over Easter so keep an eye out for more wonderful vintage vehicles out and about in the Manawatu.

  1. Good to see the wee truck paying a courtesy visit. Did Linnea go to school in it? I have been in it too, here in Riverton, four years ago.
